Tanzania

Active Africa guides have a long-standing relationship with Mount Kilimanjaro, leading many successful expeditions on a variety of routes to its icy summit. Our journeys to Tanzania have taken us on treks in the Ngorongoro Highlands with the Maasai as our companions and into the wilderness areas of Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and into the Serengeti to witness the marvel of the Great Migration.

One of the best aspects of visiting Tanzania is that, trans-East Africa highways aside, low-key tourism has allowed the country to maintain its traditions – this is real Africa in every sense.  This is manifest predominantly in the wildness of the land and in the welcome you will receive from its citizens. But it has not compromised the quality of the hospitality services even when compared to its longer established neighbour, Kenya.
